The Foundling At beginning of the story, Antonio Piachi and his son travel to the township of Ragusa. Since there is a plague in the town, Piachi and Paolo attempt to reverting home. On their way back, they ar stopped on the strain by a unsalted son (Nicolo) who says he is twinge from the plague. Nicolo grasps Piachis hand and kisses it.
